What hope I have in You, my Redeemer.
In you who brings joy after sorrow,
peace after anxiety.
You who offers mercy after wrath,
who serves as my refuge in trouble.
You will gather me up when I am in pain,
and ease my affliction.
Weeping may endure for a night,
but joy comes in the morning.
You have taught me to put my hope in You,
and not in the hands of man.
I know that this world is not my home,
I linger for a while and I hope
For an eternity of life in heaven with You!
