What hope I have in You, my Redeemer.
In you who brings joy after sorrow,
peace after anxiety.
You who offers mercy after wrath,
who serves as my refuge in trouble.
You will gather me up when I am in pain,
and ease my affliction.
Weeping may endure for a night,
but joy comes in the morning.
You have taught me to put my hope in You,
and not in the hands of man.
I know that this world is not my home,
I linger for a while and I hope
For an eternity of life in heaven with You!

True Happiness

The happiness that brings enduring worth to our lives
Is not superficial happiness dependent on circumstance.
It is happiness and contentment that fills the soul.
Even in the midst of the most distressing circumstances
It is the kind of happiness that can smile through the tears.
The happiness for which our souls ache, is one not distracted
by success, or fortune, or disturbed by failure.
Deeply rooted inside, it can give relaxation and peace.
No matter what problems, yea heartache beset upon us
That kind of happiness stands in need of no outward stimulus.
It comes from knowing God, the author and finisher of our faith.
