The Mystery of Faith

That invisible, mystifying quantity so difficult to understand.
You long to reach out, and grasp it, holding it tightly in your hand.
Why did God give us this requirement, this edict for us all to see?
Is in the release of this faith balloon, meant to set our spirits free?

God’s word tells us, He uses the simple things to confound our mind.
Is it in the forfeit of our struggles, finally that peace we often find?
A faith affirming vow we make, giving back our love and trust to God.

“Faith is substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”
Above in that ethereal world God is guiding our steps to learn to lean
On the only one that can fulfill that promise made to us long ago.
How else could He prove His love for us and let the whole world know?

Reach out and grasp it, use it,  do not let go of your gift of faith.
Breath on your mustard seed of faith, climb a mountain keep it safe.
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually occur.
Steep yourself in God’s word, it is a command and we all concur.

Satan wants to steal your shield of faith; it is his victory plan
or without it he has destroyed God’s greatest gift for man.

Acts 16:31   “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.”
Hebrews 11:1   “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
Hebrews 11:6   “It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.”

Colossians 2:7   “Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
